In this article, we've put together a few recipes that you can prepare in advance and take with you on your journey.
Caesar chicken wraps
These chicken wraps that resemble a Caesar salad will take just a few minutes to make. The abundance of chicken and vegetables will be a good source of vitamins and protein and will keep you full for hours
You will need:
Chicken breasts,
Romaine lettuce,
Cherry tomatoes,
Grated Parmesan cheese,
Tortillas,
Caesar dressing,
Salt and pepper,
Croutons (optional)
Steps:
Cut the chicken breast into small cubes and fry in a frying pan. Sprinkle salt and pepper. You can also use marinated chicken or other spices if desired. Chop the lettuce leaves and the cherry tomatoes. Warm the tortillas and spread the Caesar sauce on it. If you like, you can make your own Caesar-style sauce; to do so, you will need mayonnaise, garlic, mustard, oil, lemon juice, Parmesan cheese, anchovy paste, salt and pepper. Place the chopped vegetables on the tortilla. Place the warm chicken on top and sprinkle with cheese. Fold the tortilla to keep the filling inside.
Italian panini sandwich
This Italian sandwich is a great idea for a light and quick lunch on the go.
You will need:
Italian ciabatta bread or a small baguette,
Mozzarella cheese,
Pesto sauce,
Tomatoes,
Prosciutto ham,
Olive oil.
Steps:
Cut the bread in half into two pieces. If you have the possibility, lightly toast each half. Pour a little oil on each bread slice. Place the ham on the bread. Cut the mozzarella and the tomatoes into slices. Place the tomato slices on the bread alternating them with the mozzarella. Top with the pesto sauce. Place the remaining half of the bread on top and cut the sandwich in half.
Honey chicken with rice
Chicken is an important source of protein. This delicious recipe will not only fill you up but will also give you the nutrients you need if you garnish this dish with vegetables of your choice.
You will need:
Chicken breast,
Flour,
Garlic,
Honey,
Soy sauce,
Salt and pepper,
Oil,
Rice,
Vegetables.
Steps:
Cut the chicken breast into small pieces. Sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper and cover it with flour, coating each piece very well. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken for a few minutes. Finely chop a couple of cloves of garlic and fry them in the same pan. In a separate pot, mix almost half a glass of honey with 2-3 tablespoons of soy sauce and a little water. Pour this sauce into the pan and cook the chicken until the sauce thickens. In a separate pot prepare the rice. Top the rice with the honey chicken and serve with vegetables of your choice – cucumbers, tomatoes, steamed broccoli or anything else.
