As the transport industry increasingly seeks to adapt to a changing environment and combat climate change, car manufacturing companies are starting to invest more in innovation and look for new ways to improve their products. MAN and Volvo have recently developed new electric and hydrogen-powered trucks that can be used in cities, construction work and applied to countless other fields of work.
MAN eTGL truck
MAN has recently launched the new MAN eTGL electric truck. This vehicle weighs 12t and is designed for transportation of light goods. It can be fully charged in just 40 minutes and has a range of 235km on a single charge. The new truck which can carry loads of up to 6.6t would be ideal for transporting produce and delivering food in cities. The 2-battery truck is environmentally friendly and runs very quietly. The cab of the truck is lower than in most trucks and has wide doors while the interior of the truck is designed in a way to prevent it from getting dirty quickly.

Camionul Volvo FH Electric
Volvo plans to launch the new Volvo FH Electric in 2025. This vehicle has a battery that uses energy efficiently and allows the truck to run all day without recharging. The new truck, which is extremely quiet and completely environmentally friendly, can be used in freight, construction and goods transportation fields.

Camionul MAN hTGX
MAN has announced that it will start producing the new hydrogen-powered MAN hTGX truck in 2025. This completely environmentally friendly vehicle is an excellent alternative in areas where it is difficult to find charging stations for electric vehicles. The truck can be refuelled in 15 minutes and can travel up to 600km in a single charge. MAN plans to launch 200 trucks for sale in Europe and to increase the number of trucks sold later.
